BENUE STATE HIGH COURT RESTRAINS APC NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE FROM REMOVING AGADA-LED STATE COMMITTEE

The Benue State High Court has granted an interim injunction restraining the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from removing, replacing, or suspending members of the Benue State Working Committee led by Comrade Augustine Agada.

The court, sitting in Makurdi, also barred the National Working Committee from tampering with the four-year tenure of the members pending the determination of the Motion on Notice.

Justice Theresa Igoche granted the interim injunction after hearing from the State Legal Adviser of the Party, Barr. Alyebo Matthew. The case was adjourned to August 28, 2024, for the hearing of the Motion on Notice.

Comrade Agada, reacting to the development, praised the judiciary as the hope of the common man and urged all party members to remain steadfast as the party prepares for its primary elections this Saturday.
