President Bola Tinubu has praised the creative energy and innovative spirit of Nigerian youths on International Youth Day, emphasizing their potential to drive digital transformation and prosperity in Nigeria and globally. The 2024 theme, “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development,” resonates with the President’s vision for the nation’s youth.
President Tinubu acknowledged the strides of young Nigerians in various fields, including billion-dollar technologies and innovations. He highlighted examples of youth excellence, such as entrepreneurs in Ebute Metta, Aba, and Kano, who are making a mark in the digital space, fashion, and sustainable agriculture.
To harness the creative talents of the youth, the President’s administration has relaunched the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) and introduced programs like IDiCE, 3Million Technical Talents Scheme, Skill-Up Artisans Programme (SUPA), and National Youth Talent Export Programme (NATEP). These initiatives aim to empower young people and create millions of IT and technical jobs, making them globally competitive.
President Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration is committed to making the dreams of the youth a reality in a sustainably expanding, inclusive economy.
