Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has assured the family of slain humanitarian worker, Christopher Terfa Ikpu, that his administration will leave no stone unturned in uncovering the truth behind his murder. During a condolence visit to the Ikpu family residence in Makurdi, Governor Alia expressed his deep sorrow over the “cruel and gruesome” killing of the renowned humanitarian worker.
Christopher Terfa Ikpu, Executive Director of Concerned Youth for Development Initiative (CYDI), was a tireless advocate for vulnerable populations in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. Governor Alia described his death as a shock, given his selfless work for the common good.
The Governor reiterated his commitment to restoring peace in Ukum Local Government Area, where Ikpu was murdered, and pledged to work tirelessly to ensure the perpetrators are arrested and brought to justice.
