Afam Osigwe, the incoming President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), has promised to provide free legal services to protesters.
Osigwe, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), emphasized that lawyers have a responsibility to support and offer legal assistance to individuals exercising their right to peaceful protest.
He encouraged lawyers to volunteer their time and expertise to provide pro bono services to those affected by the ongoing protests across the country.
Osigwe stressed that lawyers must stand up for justice, fairness, and human rights, and work together to protect the rights of citizens facing legal challenges. He emphasized the importance of innovation, collaboration, and impactful change in promoting justice and human rights.
