The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial district, Ifeanyi Ubah, is dead.
Uba, a key figure in All Progressives Congress (APC), was said to have died in a London, UK hotel, just 48 hours after arriving in the city.
The news was confirmed by fellow senators, who have started paying tributes to him.
Before his death, Ubah who was elected under the Young People’s Party (YPP) in the 2023 polls defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) with his campaign council donating N71 million to the APC in Anambra State, with N50 million coming from him personally.
This significant contribution showcased his dedication to strengthening the APC presence in the state.
Although the senate has not officially announced his passing, his death is a significant loss to Nigeria’s political scene.
