Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, representing Anambra South in the National Assembly, has passed away in a London hotel, the United Kingdom, on Saturday. He was 52 years old and would have turned 53 on September 3.
Senate spokesperson, Yemi Adaramodu, confirmed Ubah’s death to our correspondent. Ubah was the CEO of Capital Oil and had recently defected from the Young Peoples Party to the All Progressive Congress.
In September 2022, Ubah survived an assassination attempt when his convoy was attacked by gunmen in Anambra State, resulting in the death of at least five people, including two policemen. His vehicle was bulletproof, which saved his life.
Ubah’s death comes as a shock to many, and the cause of his death is yet to be revealed. An investigation is expected to uncover the circumstances surrounding his passing.
