The National Rescue Movement (NRM) has officially presented its party flag to Dr. Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie, the gubernatorial candidate for the September 2024 election in Edo State.
At a colorful ceremony attended by party leaders and supporters, National Chairman of NRM, Ambassador Isaac Udeh, presented the flag to Dr. Aikoriogie, saying, “With the powers conferred on me by the constitution of National Rescue Movement, I want to officially perform the flag presentation ceremony to whom honour is due… I hereby present this flag of honour to the governorship candidate of our party, Dr. Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie as the flagbearer of our party.”
Ambassador Udeh introduced Dr. Aikoriogie, saying, “He’s no other person whom we have chosen, elected democratically through well-conducted primaries as the guber candidate of NRM Edo State. He is Dr. Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie.” The crowd erupted in applause as Dr. Aikoriogie stood up, acknowledging the introduction.
Dr. Aikoriogie, in his acceptance speech, said, “As the gubernatorial candidate of the September 2024 elections, I graciously and humbly accept it. With the support of the party, we are going to take over Edo State and rescue Edo State, thank you very much.”
Ambassador Udeh expressed his confidence in the candidate, saying, “Go and succeed, go and win in Jesus name.”
The presentation of the party flag marks a significant milestone in the campaign of Dr. Aikoriogie, who emerged as the candidate of NRM after a democratic primary election. The “Rescue Edo Project 2024” team is optimistic about their chances in the upcoming election, with Dr. Aikoriogie promising to bring positive change to the state.
