The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has entered into a partnership agreement with Shining Colours International, a Chinese company, to develop the mining sector and agro commodities hubs in Benue State. The agreement was signed by BIPC’s Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha-CFA, and representatives of Shining Colours International, Fang Mig and Lucy Quin.
According to the agreement, BIPC will receive 25% of the post-tax income from Shining Colours’ mining and agribusiness activities. The partnership aims to generate significant revenue for the state and create jobs for youths. BIPC plans to extend this partnership model to other mining companies operating in the state, ensuring Benue benefits from the mining sector.
Dr. Asemakaha expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential, stating it will generate over a billion Naira in cash flow and create a positive impact on the state once the mining ban is lifted. Shining Colours International representatives also expressed their commitment to the partnership’s success. This collaboration is expected to contribute to Benue State’s economic development, aligning with Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia’s vision.
