The Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has granted the family of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad) permission to conduct an independent autopsy and toxicology test. This comes after the family raised suspicions about the circumstances surrounding his death and rejected the inconclusive results of the initial autopsy conducted by the Lagos State Government.
The court’s decision, delivered by Coroner T.A Sonubi on Wednesday, requires the family to bear all legal expenses for the toxicology test. The deceased’s father, mother, and wife must also be present during the autopsy.
This development follows the family’s legal team, led by Taiwo Odumosu, pushing for a more thorough investigation into Mohbad’s death. The independent autopsy and toxicology test aim to provide more conclusive answers and closure for the family and fans of the late singer.
