NSCDC Arrests Four Suspected Vandals, Recovers AK47 Rifle in Abuja

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended four suspected vandals and recovered an AK47 rifle in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. According to a statement by the FCT Command spokesperson, Samuel Idoko, the arrests were made in the Dabi Bako area of Kwali Area Council, Abuja, where the NSCDC’s anti-vandal team intercepted an individual vandalizing armoured cables at the National Mathematical Centre.

The suspects, identified as Amodu Lawal, Zaki Idris, Suleiman Yunusa, and Isa Abdulrazak, were found in possession of stolen cables intended for sale. Further interrogations led to the apprehension of three accomplices.

The recovery of the AK47 rifle was not specified in the statement, but it is assumed to be connected to the arrest of the suspected vandals. The NSCDC has continued to crack down on vandalism and criminal activities in the FCT, ensuring the safety and security of critical infrastructure and citizens.
