The Lagos State Police Command has clarified that Nollywood actress Laide Bakare was stopped and fined for driving on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lane, contravening traffic laws.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that the actress was fined N70,000, which she paid, and was not harassed or intimidated by the police officers.
This response comes after Bakare had taken to social media to allege that the police had entered her car and driven away with her 14-year-old daughter to an unknown destination.
