The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned Usman Mallam, a desk officer in the Gombe State Secretary to the State Government’s office, for allegedly obstructing the commission’s investigation and tearing official documents.
The Gombe zonal Directorate of the EFCC brought the charges against Mallam, accusing him of willfully obstructing the investigation and destroying relevant documents.
The commission’s efforts to investigate the case were allegedly hindered by Mallam’s actions, leading to his arraignment. The case has been adjourned to allow for further investigation and prosecution.
