President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named the M18 road infrastructure in Guzape District, Abuja after renowned novelist, Chinua Achebe.
The President made this announcement during his address at the inauguration of the road on Saturday, June 8.
Achebe was a Nigerian novelist, poet, and critic who is regarded as one of the fathers of modern African literature. His seminal work, “Things Fall Apart” (1958), remains the most widely studied, translated, and read African novel.
This development is coming days after President Tinubu named the Northern Parkway road in Abuja after another Nigerian literary icon, Wole Soyinka.
