Two female students of the Joseph Sarwuan University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State, were kidnapped by gunmen on Saturday night

According to the state police command spokesperson, Catherine Anene, the students were taken at around 11 pm on Saturday along North Bank/Uniagric Road. The suspected kidnappers blocked the road, attacked, and abducted the victims before security operatives arrived.

The incident has been confirmed, and investigations are currently underway ¹. In a separate operation, police killed three suspected kidnappers, rescued two victims, and recovered a rifle, a dane gun, phones, a camouflage uniform, and a motorcycle in the Ukum Local Government Area ².
