In a shocking turn of events, the Minister of Works, David Umahi, abruptly walked out on journalists covering the activities of the ministry in Abuja on Tuesday.
The minister declared that the press was “nonexistent” and ended the press conference without explanation or apology, leaving the invited reporters stunned. The journalists had been waiting for over 50 minutes and had received the press invite just two hours prior.
Umahi’s sudden departure was met with confusion and disbelief, with reporters from various media outlets, including The Nation, The Guardian, Vanguard, Blueprint, Arise TV, Channels TV, and NTA, among others, left wondering what had just transpired.
