The Osun State Government has directed the registration of all citizens with disabilities, according to a statement by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Special Needs, Kamil Aransi.
The 10-day exercise, which begins on May 27 and ends on June 7, aims to identify and provide support for individuals with special needs, including physical, sensory, cognitive, and intellectual impairments. The registration is free and will help the government plan and cater to the needs of persons with disabilities, creating an inclusive society where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive. The data collected will be used to develop targeted programs and services, ensuring individuals with special needs receive necessary support and resources to lead fulfilling lives.
