Gboyega Soyannwo, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has passed away.

He was 55 years old and died on Wednesday following a brief illness.

Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho announced the news in a statement titled “Transition”, expressing deep sorrow on behalf of the Lagos State Government.

The statement extended condolences to the Soyannwo family, with Governor Sanwo-Olu sharing the news with cabinet members during the State Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.
