In a recent interview on Talking with Stars, Dr. Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie, the gubernatorial candidate of National Rescue Movement (NRM), revealed his plans to enhance the infrastructural development in Edo state if elected as the next Governor.
During the interview, Dr. Aikoriogie highlighted the poor condition of schools in Edo state and emphasized the need for improvement. He also mentioned that Benin City, the capital of Edo state, is due for flyovers in order to boost its status on the global map.
Dr. Aikoriogie stressed the historical significance of Benin City, referring to its rich cultural heritage as a hub of Black race in Africa and the entire world. He expressed his commitment to preserving and promoting this heritage through the development of world-class infrastructure.
If elected as Governor, Dr. Aikoriogie pledged to prioritize the construction of new schools and the renovation of existing ones to ensure that every child in Edo state has access to quality education. He also promised to initiate the construction of flyovers in strategic locations in Benin City to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity.
