The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has expressed its support for flight carrier, Air Peace, emphasizing the importance of endorsing a business that represents self-sufficiency and progress.
In a statement issued by the NANS Senate President, Akinteye Afeez, the organization acknowledged Air Peace’s positive impact, highlighting its introduction of competitive pricing, which has made air travel more accessible to Nigerians.
According to NANS, the reduction in prices by other airlines seems more like a strategic response to competition rather than a genuine effort to benefit consumers.
The organization stressed the need to consider the broader implications for the nation and the future of the aviation sector, cautioning against being swayed solely by short-term price reductions.
NANS urged Nigerians to throw their support behind Air Peace and resist any attempts to undermine it. “Backing Air Peace entails more than just selecting a flight; it signifies standing behind a domestically-grown enterprise that embodies aspirations for self-sufficiency and progress,” the statement read.
The organization highlighted that Air Peace’s entry into the market has disrupted the established norms, introducing both competition and affordability. It called for collective efforts to ensure Air Peace continues to thrive, not only in the skies but also in the hearts and minds of travelers.
