In a resolute speech delivered to new recruits of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to fully eradicate Hamas brigades, including those in the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
“We will complete the elimination of Hamas battalions, including in Rafah. There is no force in the world that can stop us,” declared Netanyahu on Tuesday.
Addressing the recruits, Netanyahu emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, “Many forces are trying to do so, but it won’t help, because this enemy, after what it did, will never do it again.”
He underscored the significance of the recruits’ role in achieving Israel’s objectives, stating, “We are committed to doing this, and each and every one of you now, in your enlistment, will contribute in this way and in other ways to achieving the goal. It must be done.”
Netanyahu outlined four key goals: the return of all abductees, the elimination of Hamas, ensuring Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel, and countering what he described as Iran’s “axis of evil.”
He emphasized the broader implications of the conflict, asserting, “When we defeat Hamas, it’s not just defeating Hamas – it’s defeating the axis.”
Netanyahu concluded with a message of determination, saying, “Everyone in the Middle East, and beyond, is sitting in the stands and watching who will win on this field, Israel or Iran and its proxies. You already know who will win. Good luck to you all.”
The Prime Minister’s remarks come amidst ongoing tensions between Israel and Hamas, with sporadic violence and clashes continuing to disrupt the region.
