Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, PhD, has approved the construction of a 12.05kilomitres road in Mbandôhôr kindred of Iger council ward, Gwer East local government area of the state under Benue State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project BN-RAAMP.
Mr. Stephen Numbeve; Benue State RAAMP Project Coordinator stated this on Easter Friday , 29th March ,2024, during assessment visit to Mbandôhôr community adding that the visit was to enable him have a first hand information of the road to enable him intimate the Governor properly for necessary action and thanked the Mbandôhôr community for their warm acceptance.
The 12.05kilomtres road; Taraku mills, Kyaa and Aveetse Road would have four(4) bridges and eight(8) culverts when constructed.
Mr. Numbeve in additional to the construction of the road also pledged to renovate Local Government Education Authority(LGEA)Primary school and Community health Clinic all in Iger, Gwer East LGA.
Earlier, the kindred head of Mbandôhôr, Chief Tyôshio Ka’Kaan expressed deep appreciation to Mr. Numbeve for his prompt visit to his domain to carry out assessment of the road and other critical delapidated structures in area.
President, Benue State Agricultural Initiative BADI, Mr. Alexander Terkaa charged farmers at the state and local grassroots level to take Agriculture serious by forming registering cooperative societies to attract government’s presence for further patronage.
In separate remarks, President General, Mbandôhôr Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Mr. Clement Iorkyaa and Akaabee C as well as Mbaukekpega Iorkyaa all unanimously thanked Gov. Alia and Mr. Stephen Numbeve for coming to the aid of their community noting that the projects when completed would be the first presence of government in the area since the Inception of democracy.
