Man Set on Fire as Hoodlums Invade Anambra Vigilante Office

Hoodlums on Thursday invaded the premises of the Anambra State Vigilante in Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area.

The hoodlums in their large numbers stormed the areas at approximately 7am on Thursday, setting fire to a middle-aged man found in a vehicle belonging to the AVG operatives.

The motive behind the attack remain unclear as details are still emerging.

A circulating social media video depicts the burning vehicle, with a voice heard requesting assistance from the state fire service.

Anambra State police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga confirmed the incident but stated that comprehensive details are currently unavailable.

“Yes, the attack took place but the full details are not available yet. Our men are on the scene to bring normalcy to the area. I will call you back please,” Ikenga added.
