Armed men suspected to be kidnappers on Tuesday morning launched another attack on the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) in Ituku Ozalla, Enugu State.
This comes after an earlier incident this year where a resident doctor was attacked and abducted but managed to escape later.
According to reports, the assailants allegedly kidnapped a female deputy director and a security guard from the hospital.
A video circulating online shows an abandoned SUV, purportedly belonging to the abducted nurse, with bullet-perforated glass on the front passenger side.
As of now, the Police and hospital management have not officially confirmed the incident, but a reliable source affirmed that it occurred in the same location where a medical doctor was abducted a few weeks ago.
“This is so sad; we are not safe at all in this hospital; everywhere is porous,” a distressed staff member lamented.”
