In a bid to enhance security measures in Edo state, Dr. Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie, the gubernatorial candidate of National Rescue Movement (NRM), has announced plans to partner with colleagues from Germany, USA, and various European countries.
The collaborative effort aims to fortify border areas surrounding Edo state, ensuring that individuals entering the state have their data collected. This information will include details on the businesses individuals have in Edo state and the duration of their stay. By implementing this initiative, security checkpoints will be able to track and monitor individuals, enhancing overall safety measures in the region.
Furthermore, Dr. Aikoriogie has emphasized the need to protect Edo state’s forests to combat the activities of bandits. By safeguarding these natural landscapes, the aim is to create a conducive environment for citizens to return to their farms and bolster the agricultural sector. This, in turn, will help diversify the economy of Edo state, ultimately benefitting the local community.
During a radio program on BSIDE FM in Benin City, Dr. Aikoriogie highlighted the importance of these security measures in promoting a safer and more prosperous future for the people of Edo state. With the partnership of international colleagues, significant strides are expected to be made in enhancing security and promoting economic growth.
