It was gathered by Hobnob News reports that a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and a former member of the House of Representatives, who represented Ika federal constituency of Delta State, Dr Cairo Ojougboh, is dead.According to Leadership, the outspoken politician died on Wednesday night while watching the AFCON 2023 semi-final match between Nigeria and South Africa.
Immediately a penalty kick was awarded against Nigeria during the AFCON match with South Africa on Wednesday’s semi-final clash in Bouake, Ivory Coast, he slumped,” the newspaper said while quoting a source privy to the incident.
On the other hand, the former vice president, Atiku Abubakar has expressed sadness over the passing of the former director in Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.The sudden passing of my close friend, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, deeply saddens me. His love for our country was profound.
