Governor Caleb Mutfwang Reveals Terrorists Occupying Schools in Barkin-Ladi Local Government for Five Years

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has made a shocking revelation, stating that terrorists have been occupying schools in the Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area of the state for the past five years. The governor disclosed this during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Tuesday.

Expressing disappointment, Governor Mutfwang criticized the Federal Government for what he termed as a “lack of political will” to dislodge the terrorists in Plateau State. He noted that the crisis in the state has continued to escalate due to the absence of arrests made by security agents.

Governor Mutfwang also described the recent simultaneous attacks on over 15 communities in the Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas as unfortunate. The attacks, which occurred on Christmas Eve, resulted in the loss of over 115 lives, with scores of others injured and hundreds of houses torched.

“We must stop this carnage,” stated Governor Mutfwang, emphasizing the need for security agents to be proactive rather than reactive in dealing with the situation. He revealed that in Barkin-Ladi Local Government, schools have been occupied by these terrorists for several years. Additionally, he reported that at least 64 communities have been displaced, with the lands taken over by these marauding terrorists.

Governor Mutfwang expressed his intention to approach President Bola Tinubu, seeking clear instructions for security agents to protect the people on the Plateau against these land-grabbing attackers. He emphasized the need for political will to ensure the protection of Nigeria’s territorial and internal integrity.

As the situation continues to worsen in Plateau State, it remains crucial for the government to take decisive action and prioritize the safety of its citizens. The governor’s plea to President Tinubu for firm instructions to security agencies is a crucial step in bringing an end to the occupation of schools and the displacement of communities by these terrorists.
