Escalating Criminality in Abuja: 12 People, Including Children, Kidnapped in Gbaupe Village

The escalating cases of criminality in Abuja, the federal capital, have worsened with the latest attacks on Gbaupe, a rural village behind ACO Estate Lugbe, along the Abuja Airport Road. The perpetrators of this brazen attack have left a trail of fear and anxiety as 12 people, including a 9-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, were kidnapped.

According to eyewitnesses, the armed assailants, who struck in the dead of night, stormed the village and unleashed terror on unsuspecting residents. In addition to kidnapping the young boy and girl, the attackers also took nine other individuals, leaving their families and the entire village in a state of shock and disbelief.

The Gbaupe community leaders have expressed deep concern over the increasing incidents of criminality in the area. They have called on the government and law enforcement agencies to take urgent action to address the rising insecurity that has plagued the once peaceful and serene village.

The residents of Gbaupe and surrounding areas are living in fear, with many now reluctant to go about their daily activities due to the constant threat of attacks and kidnappings. The recent attack has once again highlighted the urgent need for enhanced security measures in the Abuja federal capital territory.

The police and other security agencies have been urged to intensify efforts to ensure the safe rescue of the kidnapped individuals and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

As the authorities work to address the escalating criminality in Abuja, the residents of Gbaupe and other vulnerable areas remain in a state of fear and uncertainty, hoping for a swift and effective response to ensure their safety and security.
