Microsoft has hired the former CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman and his co-founder ally, Greg Brockman.
It would be recalled that the ChatGPT company board fired Altman as they wrote they no longer have confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI.
Co-founder, Greg Brockman also resigned after he was pushed from the OpenAI board.
Microsoft in a statement said Altman and Brockman will be leading a new advanced AI research team.
See the full statement below:

“We look forward to getting to know Emmett Shear and OAI’s new leadership team and working with them.
“And we’re extremely excited to share the news that Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, together with colleagues, will be joining Microsoft to lead a new advanced AI research team.
“We look forward to moving quickly to provide them with the resources needed for their success”, the statement read.
