Amarachi claimed that her husband subjected her to abuse, including beating her until she became unconscious. She refused to leave her marriage, stating that she wanted her children to grow before leaving. The last child was just 7 months old. Two weeks ago, an old woman living in their compound called her mother to ask her to come take her daughter. The mother replied that she was not leaving.
On November 2nd, 2023, the woman was found dead in her bedroom, soaked with water, and her husband claimed she was buried immediately. The husband claimed she slept in the sitting room while she slept in the bedroom, but neighbors claim her bed was soaked with water. The husband claimed she should be buried immediately, but the woman’s father died of a heart attack.
The mother’s 7-month-old baby cried the whole day and refused to eat food, running temperature, and crying. The family is left with four children, and the fate of the children is unknown. The husband cannot be held responsible, and the family encourages women to stay in their abusive marriages and hope for change.
