Senator-elect of Kogi Central Barr. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has accused the state governor, Yahaya Bello of plotting to assassinate her.
Akpoti made the allegation on a Channels TV interview programme.
Natasha Akpoti was recently declared the winner of the Kogi Central Senatorial district election after an Appeal Court sacked incumbent senator, Abubakar Ohere.
It would be recalled that the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Lokoja in September nullified the victory of Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Kogi Central Senatorial Election and declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the actual winner of the February senatorial poll.
Ohere not satisfied with the verdict, headed to the appellate court to seek redress but the court further upheld Akpoti-Uduaghan as the winner of the poll.
