The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Yola, Adamawa State, has struck out the suit filed by Aisha Binani Dahiru seeking to nullify the victory of Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
The court while delivering judgement on Saturday, October 28 upheld Fintiri’s re-election.
Binani who polled 398,738 votes had challenged the outcome of the March 18 gubernatorial election and the subsequent declaration of Fintiri who defeated her with 430,861.
Binani was seeking the nullification of the victory of Fintiri but the court on Saturday upheld the second term victory of the incumbent governor.
