Chief Egukawhore Hosts Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori

THE Chairman of Dewayles Group of Companies, High Chief Victor Egukawhore, has expressed his appreciation for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s visit, highlighting the significance of their discussions on the state’s development.

The meeting took place at High Chief Egukawhore’s residence in Enhwe, Isoko South Council, Delta State.

High Chief Victor Wayles, a notable figure in the marine and construction sectors of the Oil and Gas industry, lauded the governor’s commitment to infrastructural development, especially evident in the commissioning of the Okpolo/Enhwe/Uwheru road. He emphasised the positive impact of this initiative on the Isoko nation, stating: “Today is a very happy moment, not just for me as an individual but for the people of the Isoko nation.

“We talked about a lot of things one-on-one. I did mention to the governor that he should be ready for more project commissioning. His visit today is significant for us and an indication that he’s ready for the development of the state.”

High Chief Egukawhore further affirmed his readiness to partner with the government and contribute to Delta State’s progress.

High Chief Egukawhore described Governor Oborevwori’s first 100 days in office as “miraculous,” applauding the extensive projects completed within this period. He expressed pride in the governor’s vision to revive Warri as an oil city, stating, “If he has the aspiration to bring Warri back to the limelight as an oil city, I’m very proud of that.”

Comrade Kennedy Idolor, the President General of Enhwe community, commended High Chief Egukawhore’s dedication to infrastructural development and advocated for larger projects to be awarded to Emorock Concept Limited, acknowledging their competence in road construction.

The Commissioner for Works and Rural Development, Charles Aniagwu, commended the superb quality of the road and highlighted its potential to mitigate flooding in the community.

Governor Oborevwori emphasised the need to explore collaborative efforts with High Chief Egukawhore, praising his commitment to community and infrastructural development. He expressed his intention to deepen the partnership with Emorock Concept Limited for further infrastructural advancements.
