It was gathered by Hobnob News reports that Forty three thugs from two rival groups have embrace the peace and reconcilation initiative of the Kano State police Command initiated earlier by the state Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Hussaini Gumel.
The forty-three thugs from the two rival groups from the Communities of Gobirawa-Gangare and Tudun Fulani Quarters of Ungogo LGA of the State surrendered to the Police in company of some elders who are Stakeholders from the community.
These thugs have previously engaged in violent rival fights for more than five years which led to attacks on innocent citizens resulting in loss of lives, fatal injuries inflicted on citizens and caused havoc to properties.
The now repented thugs surrendered pledge to work with the Police to promote sustainable peace and development of the State.
The total number of repentant thugs in Kano State has clock one hundred and forty three.
The Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Hussaini Gumel reiterates his earlier pledge of the sum of five hundred thousand naira bounty on each of the two wanted thugs in Kano, Abba Burakita of Dorayi Quarters and Hantar Daba of Kwanar Disu Quarters Kano to anyone who can provide the Police Command with information that would lead to their arrest.
CP Gumel Commends the State Government for their continuous support which made Community Policing initiative in the State fruitful, adding that his ultimate goal as Commissioner of Police is the Security and Safety of everyone in Kano State.
