The planned Nationwide strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress is poised to get more traction as the National Union Of Banks, Insurance and Financial Institutions Employees, NUBIFIE, has agreed to join in the industrial action.
NUBIFIE in a statement issued by its general secretary, Mohammed Sheikh, says all banks will be shut down on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th September 2023.
The union says it will join the NLC to protest the impact of the removal of fuel subsidy in the country.
