The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, has appointed Musa Krishi, former Chief Press Secretary to the immediate past Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, as his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
Abbas made the announcement in a statement issued on Thursday, titled ‘Appointment of Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.’
The statement read: “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Musa Abdullahi Krishi as my Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. The appointment takes immediate effect.”
According to the statement, Krishi, a former employee of Daily Trust, hails from Nasarawa State and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the Bayero University, Kano (BUK), where he graduated as the best student of his set with a Distinction.
“He served as the Chief Press Secretary to the immediate past Speaker of the 9th House, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, from 2019 to 2023. The new spokesman, an associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, is expected to bring his wealth of experience acquired over the years on board in line with the Legislative Agenda of the 10th House of Representatives”, the statement partly read.
Abbas also appointed Dr Jerry Uhuo as his Special Adviser on Policy and Strategy.
“The appointment takes immediate effect from 15th June,” a separate statement announcing the appointment partly read.
