When men pursue purpose, the reward can sometimes come in the form of awards which recognize the contributions of such persons to a particular cause or mission.
The United Nations introduced the concept of Peace Ambassador to its rank in 1997, to further peace and harmony among the different nationalities, races or tribes.
The Global Peace Ambassadors are individuals who are willing to work for the benefits of others and are involved in the promotion of universal moral values, interfaith cooperation, working for harmony and generally responsible for a global culture of peace among the people of the world.
It is in this light that a prominent Edo man, a selfless, compassionate, a philanthropic, a bridge builder, a community leader, an economist and a politician in the person of Dr. Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie (DOA), the SERVANT-LEADER has been so recognized by being nominated to receive the PRESTIGIOUS NIGER-DELTA PEACE AMBASSADOR AWARD and will be bestowed with THE PRESTIGIOUS NIGER-DELTA PATRIOTIC PERSONALITY AWARD for his contributions to the underserved and highly maligned ones in our community by the Edo Legacy Foundation in collaboration with NIGER DELTA PEACE AMBASSADOR on the 9th of June 2023.
