Gunmen Kidnap Emir’s 9 Children In Kaduna

SUSPECTED kidnappers reportedly stormed the palace of the Emir of Kagarko, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, and kidnapped nine of his children and grandchildren, as well as three other people in the town, on Sunday night.

One of the members of the community, Alhaji Musa Jibril, told Hobnob News  that the bandits stormed the town around 11:15 pm and headed straight to the Emir’s palace. They took away nine children and grandchildren and his youngest wife, who later escaped, he claimed.

According to Jibril, the gunmen also abducted three other members of the community, including a lady. They also injured a villager, Audu Kwakulu of Ungwan Pah, who is presently at the hospital receiving treatment.

The bandits reportedly killed one herdsman in Kuchimi village and looted seven shops in Janjala village (both in Kagarko LGA) on their way out.

The Kaduna State Police Command spokesman, DSP Muhammed Jalige has yet to respond to calls at the time of filing this report.
