MANCHESTER United manager, Erik ten Hag has given a frank assessment of his team’s 4-2 defeat to Cadiz in a friendly on Wednesday.
The Red Devils began their mid-season tour of Spain with a loss.
Ten Hag’s side lost to a Cadiz side who are currently 19th in LaLiga, going two goals behind before pulling one back as they went into the break.
Kobbie Mainoo made it 2-2 after the break for United.
However, with Ten Hag making 10 changes, Cadiz took advantage and added two more goals in the second half.
According to Hobnob News ,after the game, Ten Hag said: “It’s quite clear we were not awake, we were asleep in the first 15 minutes. They were a threat in transition.
“In the second goal we were not awake, a bad rest defence – especially in the midfield, we got run off. It’s not possible, unacceptable.
“The first goal as well, a set play, bad organisation and discipline; you concede a goal.”
Up next for United is Real Betis on December 10, before they return to action in the Carabao Cup against Burnley on December 21.
