According to an official statement issued by Babatunde Bamigboye, Esq., who serves as the Head of Legal, Enforcement and Regulations at the Commission, the NDPC has duly initiated investigative procedures in line with its mandate to safeguard personal data and ensure compliance with Nigeria’s data protection laws.

The statement disclosed that a Notice of Investigation has been properly served to the companies involved, signaling the formal commencement of regulatory scrutiny into the matter. While details of the alleged breach were not fully disclosed, the Commission emphasized its commitment to protecting the privacy rights of Nigerians and holding organizations accountable for any violations.
