The Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia earlier today at Government House welcomed the leadership of the North Central Development Commission, led by Mr. Tsenyil Cyril, who was in the state on a courtesy visit on him.
The meeting felt less like a formal engagement and more like a shared moment of purpose, a conversation about progress, possibilities, and the future of the North Central region.
Governor Alia spoke about the steady transformation taking place across Benue, viz, infrastructure development, especially, new roads that connect communities, agricultural programmes breathing life into rural economies, security of lives and properties and development efforts that restore confidence in government.
Mr. Cyril, in turn, shared the Commission’s vision, a North Central region where infrastructure is modern, industries thrive, and citizens enjoy real opportunities.
Together, they reflected on the collective journey of the region under Mr President’s leadership.
What once felt like distant promises is now unfolding in practical ways: investments in security, support for farmers, empowerment programmes, and regional collaboration that strengthens every state in the zone.
