Akume Assures Benue Will Feel Dividends of Tinubu’s Government

Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has given firm assurances that every part of Benue State will benefit from the developmental strides of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Senator Akume made the pledge in Abuja during a solidarity visit by a high-powered delegation from Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State to his Maitama residence. The delegation, which included leaders from across political divides, reaffirmed their support for President Tinubu’s 2027 reelection bid and declared unwavering loyalty to Akume’s leadership.

Led by Chief Terlumun Akputu, the group commended the SGF for his tireless efforts in attracting federal presence to Benue and for championing the development of the Tiv nation.

“We are here to appreciate your work and reaffirm our confidence in your leadership,” Akputu said, noting that the people of Kwande are already seeing signs of progress tied to Akume’s influence in the federal government.

Also speaking, Barrister Vincent Uji applauded President Tinubu’s inclusive governance approach and said that communities in Kwande have started to witness a renewed sense of hope through various infrastructure projects.

“The unity and resolve of the people of Kwande is proof of our alignment with the Tinubu administration,” Uji stated. “We will stand even firmer in 2027.” He also urged other local governments in the state to follow Kwande’s example of political commitment and support for federal development goals.

Speaking through Terrence Kuanum, Special Adviser on Public Affairs in the SGF’s Office, Senator Akume described the visit as both “timely and inspiring.”

“I want to assure you that the dividends of this government will be felt in every corner of our dear state,” Akume said. “With your continued support, we will consolidate on our gains and uplift the lives of our people.”

He further praised President Tinubu’s leadership as visionary and inclusive, adding that the federal administration remains committed to economic transformation, national unity, and grassroots development.

In his concluding remarks, the SGF urged political and traditional leaders across Benue to collaborate in fostering peace, development, and service delivery, emphasizing that unity remains essential for sustained progress.
