A violent altercation between a man and his girlfriend in Onitsha, Anambra State, has left both severely injured in a shocking incident linked to drug use.
Footage circulating online shows the couple lying on the floor, covered in blood. Witnesses reported that the man, allegedly under the influence of drugs, cut off his own penis during the fight before stabbing his girlfriend multiple times.
According to sources familiar with the incident, the confrontation began after the man accused his girlfriend of infidelity. In a state of rage and distress, he reportedly inflicted the injuries on both himself and his partner.
Local authorities are yet to issue an official statement as investigations continue.
