The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited reported a revenue of ₦5.89 trillion for April 2025, according to its Monthly Report Summary – April 2025 published on its website. The company also posted a profit after tax (PAT) of ₦748 billion for the same month.
Between January and March 2025, NNPC made statutory transfers amounting to ₦4.225 trillion.
Crude oil and condensate production averaged 1.61 million barrels per day (mbpd) in April. Earlier figures for the year were 1.67 mbpd in January, 1.62 mbpd in February, and 1.56 mbpd in March. Natural gas production in April was 7.47 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d), compared to 7,120 mmscf/d in January, 6,615 mmscf/d in February, and 6,928 mmscf/d in March.
NNPC clarified that all financial data are provisional and unaudited. It further explained that the report reflects only its operations, excluding figures from independent producers reported by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
During April, petrol availability at NNPC Retail Limited stations was 54 percent, while upstream pipeline availability stood at 97 percent.
The company also provided updates on major gas infrastructure projects. The Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline reached 70 percent completion, while the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) pipeline hit 95 percent. It confirmed technical interventions to address River Niger crossing challenges in both projects and progress across various oil mining leases, including OML 18, OML 58, OML 118, and OML 133.
Key final investment decisions (FIDs) are expected in Q4 2025 for several strategic projects: the Ntokon Development Project (OML 102), the Crude Oil Production Expansion Project (OML 29), gas development in OML 30 and OML 42, and the Brass Fertilizer project’s financial close.
NNPC also reviewed the status of the Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna refineries and reported enhanced collaboration with venture partners to promote sustainable production and implement presidential directives on upstream operations.
The NNPC Foundation highlighted its public impact initiatives, including:
Empowering 531 NYSC Corps Members with solar starter packs through the NNPC/NYSC Business Empowerment Initiative;
Equipping 83 ICT trainees and 170 creative industry talents with business starter kits;
Restoring eyesight to 2,005 people via cataract surgeries in the South-East and South-South;
Rehabilitating three hospital wards with a combined 100-bed capacity at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi;
Commissioning STEM books and science libraries in schools across Abuja and Lagos;
Training 3,860 vulnerable farmers in climate-smart agriculture to boost food security in rural communities.
These efforts, according to the company, align with its vision for social impact, innovation, and sustainable development.
