Joint security forces in Zamfara State have thwarted a bandit attack in Mada, Gusau Local Government Area, eliminating several terrorists, including the notorious leader, Kachalla Dogo Idin Madu.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama shared the update on X Wednesday night.
Reports indicate that the attack happened early Wednesday when heavily armed bandits stormed Mada to retaliate against recent security operations.
However, troops from Operation FANSAN YAMMA, alongside local vigilantes known as Askarawa, engaged them in a fierce battle.
“The security forces overpowered the bandits, inflicting heavy casualties and securing the area. Among those neutralized was Kachalla Dogo Idin Madu, a notorious bandit kingpin responsible for multiple attacks, kidnappings, and terror activities in Zamfara State,” the post stated.
Kachalla Dogo Idin Madu was a feared criminal linked to numerous high-profile kidnappings and violent raids across Zamfara and neighboring states.
