The Association of Resident Doctors under Edo State government employment has extended its congratulations to the newly sworn-in Governor following a successful inauguration held yesterday.
In a statement issued by the association’s President, Dr. Uaboi Ovbiagele, and Secretary General, Dr. Peter O. Evbuomwan, the doctors expressed optimism about the administration’s commitment to healthcare improvements in the state.
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations on the successful swearing-in ceremony,” the statement read. “This milestone marks a renewed journey of dedication and service to the people of Edo State.”
The doctors’ association also commended the governor’s prompt appointment of Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomole as the new Commissioner of Health on the same day. “This swift action not only reflects your commitment to governance but also highlights your priority on advancing the health sector, a gesture that is commendable and greatly appreciated by our members and the entire health community in the state,” the statement continued.
The association emphasized its eagerness to collaborate with the new health commissioner. “With his extensive expertise and dedication, we are confident in his ability to make significant contributions that will strengthen the health services and improve overall health outcomes in Edo State,” the release noted.
The doctors assured the state government of their continued support, pledging to work in unison towards enhancing healthcare delivery in Edo State.
