The DSS’s new Director-General, Tosin Ajayi, withdrew Fasasi and replaced him with Rasheed Lawal, a deputy director in the service.

According to sources, Fasasi’s promotions under the previous DSS Director-General, Mr. Bichi, were made without the required professional courses.
The redeployment aims to address concerns raised by Senator Ndume about accessibility to the President.
