The Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro, SAN, has confirmed that the toxicology report and forensic analyses for late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, have been received from the United States.
During a press conference at the Ministry of Justice Conference Room in Alausa, Ikeja, Pedro addressed concerns about delays in the investigation, attributing them to the thorough forensic processes required ¹. “The delay is caused by the time taken for investigation,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive procedures to secure convictions.
Pedro highlighted the significance of forensic analysis and toxicology in building a strong case. “A full-proof investigation is essential for leading to a conviction in any case presented before the courts,” he added.
Notably, the toxicology examination was conducted in the United States due to the destruction of the Lagos DNA and Forensic Centre during the #EndSARS protests in October 2020.
The Lagos State Ministry of Justice, led by Mr. Lawal Pedro, SAN, is committed to ensuring justice is served in Mohbad’s case.
