In a devastating attack, terrorists ambushed and killed a newlywed Nigerian Army captain, Ibrahim Yibranii Yohana, and three other soldiers in Gudu Local Government Area, Sokoto State, over the weekend. The tragic incident occurred on Saturday at approximately 4 pm along the Kukurau-Bangi Road while the soldiers were on patrol.
The ambush resulted in the loss of four soldiers, with two others wounded. The terrorists also set two military vehicles ablaze before fleeing the scene, leaving a trail of destruction and chaos.
Captain Yohana’s death is particularly heartbreaking, as he had recently gotten married to his wife, Jossy Happiness, on November 4, 2023. The attack has sent shockwaves through the military community and beyond, with many mourning the loss of the young captain and his comrades.
