Do not provoke God to anger,” Twitter influencer, Daniel Regha has warned popular indigenous rap star, Olamide Baddo over his tweet which was thought to be a slam on pastors.
Regha’s stern caution was elicited by Olamide’s tweet on pastors cashing out.The YBNL boss implied churches were business ventures for pastors, indicating members were being exploited for financial gains.
“People too get money for Lagos!! Why is there traffic this Sunday morning?
“So many cars on the road. Pastors de cash out shaa can’t lie.
God you fit call me too oh. I fit multitask,” the “Unruly” singer tweeted on Sunday.
Regha expressed displeasure under Olamide’s post, warning the rapper to desist from defaming the church’s image with his remarks.
He cited an instance the record label boss disrespected the church in the past, urging him to refrain from the act, stating God though merciful but mustn’t be stirred with unguarded remarks.
“Olamide is slandering the image of the church, by assuming that being a pastor is all about making money; He also allowed Asake to disrespect the church by mocking “the day of Pentecost” in a music video.
God is merciful but don’t provoke His anger. Respect Him & the church,” Regha tweeted in his caution to Olamide against provoking God.
Meanwhile, Regha has followed up on the tweet and on Tuesday expressed concern that Olamide had yet to apologise or pull down his tweet he claimed was against God.
