Ahead of the 2023 governorship election in Abia state, the state’s candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, has challenged anybody who has anything against his records during his time as a Chief of Staff to speak up.
Speaking at this year’s Anambra Cultural Day, organized by the Anambra Town Unions, Aba Branch, which was held in the Abia State Polytechnic today, Chief Kalu, while reeling out the qualities that make him the best candidate, unequivocally said his opponents have nothing against his records but keep talking about his brother to undermine his candidacy.
“I served as the youngest Chief of Staff fifteen years ago, and I left office with clean records. Since I left office, there has been no investigation against me, and my time in office was the most hitch-free. And that shows integrity.
So, they have nothing against me. All they keep saying is that I am OUK’s brother; my brother did this and that.”
On the part of experience, having worked as a Stock Broker in the U.S. with international and local business experience, adding to his Abia State Government House experience, Chief Kalu also said his all-round experience sets him apart from other candidates.
The APP governorship candidate equally implored the Anambra community to support his electoral quest, arguing that the 2023 elections would make or mar the future of Abia state.
